Hey everyone,
I am looking for help... I have a SV9100 with MLT,SLT,IP and analog/SIP Extensions with SIP Trunks. I am using a SPA122 to provide service for the analog/SIP extensions. They can receive calls, place internal calls but cannot call outside PBX. After dialing 10 digits, I get short ring, pause then busy signal. The trunk routing is the same for all extensions. Wireshark is seeing no attempt from the PBX out on the SIP trunks.

Any help would be appreciated!

Garry

Hi Ozzie,
I thought I had it correct.... this is what I have
using internal 4 digital dialing and 9+ for outside trunks
([1-2,4-8]xxxS0|[3]xxx|911S0|9[469]11|0|9[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|91xxx[2-9]xxxxxxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)

Just a brief look gives me the impression that you haven't allowed for a line access code but I would have to sit down and work through it but for example, shouldn't 911 be 9911?

Oh and you need to allow for * and # numbers to allow the use of feature codes.

I have setup trunk access code. I thought I setup all the phones with same trunk access.

Yes I will have to setup * and # for feature codes... I was going to work on that next.

Hey OzzieGeorge,
I am revisiting this issue again, I have still not found a solution...now that a have a little time to work on it.
As review, I can call internally (4 digit extensions) and I can receive calls from internally and externally to this SIP Station. I also have Analog, Digital and IP phones on this system and all of them work perfectly for all calls.

I am using a SPA122 to connect with a SV9100 with SIP trunks. When I dial 9+ (or if 15-01-02 is active) I get half ring then busy. I have also been watching DSS and trunk keys and I can see the Trunk goes active for a short time before I hear the busy signal.

Thanks again for your help

so I would start with s:10,s:4,L:5,(9,x.|3xxx|*x.|#x.)

The s10 is for a off hook timer and setting it to 10 gives 10 seconds before the first digit has to be dialled and if it isn't dialled during this time, the call is null). the default is 3 and by setting it as ten it gives an initial period for people to get organised.

The s4 is the short interdigit timer if no match is made. times out if people are too slow in dialling. default is 3 which I find a bit short. Setting this here increases the off hook timeout to 14 seconds but then subsequent interdigit timeouts are just 4 seconds

The L5 sets the long interdigit timer which applies to the time before sending if a match is made. this is set so that if you use an open ended entry in the dialplan, you don't have to wait too long for the number to be sent. Default is 10 which I find to be a bit long.

The 9,x is a simple cheat 9 is the outside line code, the comma says play external dial tone (this can be omitted if you don't want to give the impression of an outside dial tone). The x is any dialled digit and the comma is any number of repetitions.

The 3xxx allows for 4 digit extension numbers beginning with 3

The *x. and #x. allows for entry of * and # codes.

This should be all you need because being behind a PABX, it can handle any restrictions. You can, if you want, add |9911s0 inside the brackets too if you need the 911 calls to go out faster and there are ways to substitute 911 with 9911S0 if you feel the need.

Disclaimer, I haven't tested any of this as I am in OZ and you may need to check the layout of the way it is entered (everything may need to go inside the brackets).

Let me know how it goes

Hey Ozzie,
I was able to get it working... it wasn't dialing patterns.... it was program 15-16 had reference to some index's for these SIP Ext. Once I removed them now I am able to out bound call.... not sure why it works... thanks for your help!
