Howdy,

I have an auto-attendant and I'd like for users to be able to logon remotely. I have option # setup to LOGON and the destination is IXXXX. It's not working for some reason. I can get it to work by simply inputting an actual extension, but I'm hoping to leave it open so any extension can be input. All mailboxes have passcodes. What am I missing?

Thank you!

IXXXX means ignore first digit and allow the next 4 which should be their mailbox /extension number. If they are calling from a cell phone, try to pause a second or 2 after pressing the #. Many cell phones have DTMF issues and the system does not hear the digits properly, or they go too fast.

The extension you are logging onto will need a PIN or password setting for their mailbox, prior to logging on remotely.

With the COVID situation, it appears were having issues with our cell phone carrier AT&T and sending digits. It works fine from Google Voice and also from another AT&T landline locations with SIP trunks. How odd.

SIP. It worked fine from my cell phone before, I'm certain. I wouldn't have written these instructions without testing. It appears to only be from wireless AT&T cell phones. I haven't tested from Verizon, but will shortly.

Actually, it looks like if I dial slow enough from my AT&T cell phone, it works fine. But I have to input each digit slowly. Hopefully thats acceptable.

Look in 84-34 SIP TRUNK set it to RFC2833 for whatever profile you are using with proper payload.

The payload is usually set to 101. NOTE: iphones have an inherent DTMF issue. Serach the internet for iphone DTMF issue and you will find lots of information about it.
