I have a definity 3gsi R2 switch.
i have a user running softphone, with tellecommuter mode.

it works fine and dandy, no issues.

i need to add that extension into a hunt group, but cant seem to do so.

i gave her buttons to auto-in, login, and log out.

i can see her in the hunt group, but her auto-in button is greyed out and she cant take/get calls for that hunt group.

any thoughts?

Are you using Expert Agent (EAS) or non-EAS? WIth EAS she will need an Agent ID with the skill assigned. For non-EAS she will need to log into the Hunt Group.

IP Softphone will work, but IP Agent would be a better choice.

4merAvaya, thank you for replying and helping me out.

i know nothing about EAS and non-EAS.
i gave her a 'log-in' button, thats all i know.

can you give me any advice or direction to go from here?
thank you.

Look at your Hunt Group form. If the group Type field is set to ead-mia or ead-loa you're using Skills and will need to create an Agent Login. If it's ucd-mia, ucd-loa, or ddc you won't need an Agent ID. They would log into the Hunt Group directly by dialing the Login code and the Hunt Group number.

I checked my hunt group form - it is ucd-mia, but we are still having the problem. The user can log into the hunt group, but both the auto-in and manual-in buttons are greyed out and can't be used.

If I remember correctly, you have to assign autodials to the Softphone with FAC's for Auto-in and maybe a few other ACD features. IP Agent has those buttons, but IP Softphone does not.

Thanks,

Thanks to all who replied to this. The button doesn't work, but dialing the numbers directly or assigning an autodial works great.

Thanks a bunch.
