We have seen a strange issue
if the customer does not use the softconsole for approx 15 minutes the BLF area starts flashing

this stops as soon as the mouse is moved
screen saver & power saving options are all disabled.

has anyone seen this before?

Yes, I've seen that, it's the software. It's also much worse if they change the skin.... then it constantly flashes the borders and buttons :)

Try to delete the files;

SoftConsole.exe.local
SoftConsole.exe.manifest

Then start softconsole again.
Also what OS do you use?

Hi tried it and it didn't work. It's windows 7 professional. Only started about 2 months ago or at least only noticed it starting then, it's been in a while.

Try to exclude the Avaya map from the virus scanner.

what other software is running on the PC?
if you can get a list of all the programs on the PC together and compare it with the second one you might find a common program that is causing the issue when together with the SC.
it might be the virus scan or some sort of battery saver (probably not on a desktop) or a setting on the screensaver or screen timeout. This will not be easy to find if at all but I have it running on 2 machines without a problem, 1 is a Win7 pro and the other a Win8.1 Pro (worked also on Win8 before i upgraded) so it is not the OS causing it.

I had this with one customer and we narrowed it down to the actual PC ( a Dell desktop), we think it was the video card/driver that caused the problem. We disabled any screen saver, video sleep settings to make sure the display didn't try to go into power save mode and that seemed to fix it.
