Does anyone know if you can use Dual Monitos with Soft console.

We ran into a wierd issue if the second monitor is to the left of the main monitor.

Once we move the soft console to the left side monitor , we can’t resize, maximize or move it to different position.

It works if we have monitor on right side.

Anyone else see this or even know if you can use Dual Monitors for this?

Any hhelp is appreciated

I have seen this too on 8.0 but that does not matter, it is a softconsole issue.

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

So is this concidered a bug or is it not supported on Dual monitors?

SoftConsole is supported on Dual monitors but the SoftConsole HAS TO BE on the monitor that is on the LEFT. Go into your Windows Preferences and make sure that the LEFT MONITOR that is shown in your Window Display Settings is actually on the LEFT in your preferences and not reversed. I had a case like that earlier this year and swapping this in the Display Settings fixed the issue.

Ah, the new definition of supported is "it doesn't work properly" then.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Correct, in the same way "can't be arsed to fix the last feature we broke" is translated into "Design intent" :)

It doesn't matter which side the monitor on. For the softconsole to be happy it needs to be on their primary monitor. So within display properties, just click on the monitor you would like it to be on and check 'use this device as the primary monitor'. Then it will function properly.
