this is possible?

I have tried to do it but it's all the same voice mail node message no matter what short code i enter to record a new message?

If you're using modules you need to use Voicemail Collect. Voicemail Node is only when using the Short Code section in Voicemail Pro.

how would i leave a message for them to receive then?

it's supposed to be a message sent out to 10 or so people on their mobile phones.

OK. Let's all make sure we're on the same page.

The way it works from an end-user standpoint: dial a shortcode, make a recording, then it automatically forwards said recording into a bunch of mailboxes that has voicemail to email set up, so that people can retrieve it from their mobile devices.

How it works from a programming standpoint:

Create a MODULE in VoicemailPro. Create an "Edit Play List", and under the specific tab, designate a WAV file that the end-users are to record. Create a GENERIC action. Under the specific tab, put in the FWD:xxx, yyy, zzz in order to forward the recording to mailboxes. Connect the 3 actions to each other (including Start Point).

In the Manager software, create a shortcode that points to the module that we create (you can use the example I gave earlier).

Do that 2 more times, and you have 3 menus which people can use.

You hit the nail right on the head. I am confused though do I need to create different modules then? Since each shortcode will be calling out to different people.

Ok got all 3 modules setup with each their own name and a edit play list action and generic action. I also changed each short code under telephone number to have the name of their own module that is in vmpro. For some reason when I dial any of the shortcodes it goes to MY voicemail saying my greeting. Not sure what is going on now.......

3 Modules is good.

If you're getting your own voicemail, then you likely have a typo somewhere in your shortcodes.

Shortcode: 850
Feature: VoicemailCollect
Number: "MODULE1"

Shortcode: 851
Feature: VoicemailCollect
Number: "MODULE2"

Make sure you have the quotes in place in the Number field..

Did you click save and make live in VM Pro?? And is the Client logged in??

OK i got it working with the modules but it shouldn't have the same message I recorded on one of them (before setting up the modules) on all of them should it?

If you did copy them yes you do

Use this tool to see what happens in voicemail

Here how it works

If you copied the modules instead of creating new ones each time..

Did you change the recording name in the 2nd and 3rd module in the Edit Play List action? All 3 modules need different recording names.

I'm sorry I am being a pain.......

How do i change the recording name?

Go to the action
go to entry prompts and select the recording
Then you have the option to rerecord it

hmmm still a little bit confused.....

right now I have nothing in there except for the first one I set up. Which i recorded a message prior to them getting the actual message just saying " this message has been forwarded to your mobile phone"

is that what you are talking about?

I feel like I am sooooooooooo close to getting this figured out :(
