ok, someone leaves a message on short code 851 which is setup as a voice mail node here in the office.

that sends a call back message to this group of people i have setup as users in manager and vmpro. notifying them they have a message and they can check it from their mobile phone.

it's setup in vmpro to forward to their mobile phones on each shortcode with the free format command: FWD: 550,552,553, etc.

I have this working already with a short code and it works great.

I just need to get past the fact that I need another voice mail node a completely separate one for a completely different set of users.

I am not sure how to have more then one voicemail node. the recorded message appears on all of the shortcodes instead of each one having their own message we can record too.

It's like a puzzle. Each piece of information gets you one step closer to recognizing the final picture. Thus far all I've gotten are blue pieces of sky. Maybe soon I'll get an eyeball or a foot.

YOu need to be sure your new shortcode is unique and the node name is unique

For two different nodes you need two different shortcodes

I do not know the setup so it is hard to understand for me

Not realy :)

It is a comlex situation
What ever you did set up you need to do that again with different fake extensions, new shortcode(s) and voicemail node(s)

Check everything double and write it down
Make a drawing how it is configured now and get i all clear

I need to see it real live and that is not possible now

Best thing is to hire some one to do it for you i guess

added some pictures see if that helps maybe?

Create a New Module in VMPro, copy the ones you have in the shortcodes now, and remove the ones in the shortcodes an point the start point to a Goto "modules name"

Sorry I am an idiot, how do i create a new module?

where do i put it? the shortcodes should be copied from the free format command?

In VMPro on the bottom left, right click the module "add" give it a name.

on the "Module Start point" create the same thing you've made on the ShortCode in VMPro.

Then in VMPro the ShortCode connect the Startpoint to a "Goto" select the module you've made.

And you shortcode in the manager should be the same as long a it is "voicemail node" / name of shortcode

didn't work. still goes to the same voice mail node.

Perhaps you are trying to simulate Outcalling but since outcalling is available in 4.0+ and you have 3.1 you cannot perform it directly?

So from there you should have the following shortcode..

Telephone Number: 851
Feature: Voicemail Collect
Number: "Super"
Line Group ID: 0

Do these 3 nodes have seperate recordings? If you need 3 recordings for 3 groups of people, then open up the Edit Play List feature and under the Specific tab check the recording names.

this works just fine with having only one short code with users in it but i want to create another short code for a different group of people to get a different message. I just need more then one voice mail node that's all i need.
