I create a .vue file by issuing this command:
create view myfile
but when I call it with this command:
set view to myfile
an open file dialog box appears. Then I have to click cancel 3 times for the command to finally work.

Have you checked you path settings. I guess the system cannot find one of the tables that was open.

Is it possible that you've changed the DEFAULT or PATH between the two statements? Have you done an FIND to see if you have multiple MYFILE.VUE files in different places?
Are you removing or altering any tables or directories between issuing the two statements?

Rick

Thanks Weedz. I'll verify the the default directory.
Can you also take a look at the thread 'Shortcut won't work' that I posted a few min ago.

Thanks guys I found what my problem was.
The other application was still using this environment when I tried to set it for another application.
