We have a customer with an existing "R11 Virtualized Server Edition" License on the primary machine, who are looking to add a secondary for resilience, do we need to buy new separate licenses for this machine or does it inherit from the primary (similar to how VM Pro works with virtual licenses in a SCM)

The secondary needs to be a fully licensed server for whatever its doing during normal operation. For example it will need to be allocated some of the SIP channel license instances if it has its own SIP trunk.

During resilience, the secondary voicemail service will get temporary licenses (unless you use Select mode dual-active voicemail in which case both voicemails need licenses for whatever they are doing).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Thanks for replying Sizbut, so in the instance of needing a secondary SE server purely as a failover machine, we would need to double up and buy all the licences again for the second machine (including the R11 Virtualized Server Edition licence?).
