Just a little update to this software. On the basis of user demand I have added 2 features.

1) You are now able to request that the User executing your exe enter the relevent admin password.

2) You are able to allow the user the choice over which file is executed using your exe.

If you have anymore requests just let me know.

No problem, I have only done this as a way to determine whether it is worth continuing with the development of this software. So far the response has been very encouraging and I have now started work on a cosmetic uplift and a few other enhancements.

Thanks to a challenge by "Bcastner" I am about to disappear for a couple of days and totally rewrite the software.

The new software will include support for the following file types.

.exe
.com
.bat
.msi

There will also be the ability to compile the target files into your newly created exe file.

If there are any features that you feel were lacking from the most current version, available from RunAsUser Site, please let me know and I will try and add them.

Any update on this? I've just downloaded RunAsUser again from the link on your site shown as 'Download RunAsUser Version 3.1' and it installs v2.1.

Sorry about that I have been experiencing some problems with my ISP and have been fiddling about. I have just uploaded V3.1

As a side note. I have finished coding V4.1 and am currently testing it. I am anticipating releasing it by next weekend.

now has V3.1, if you are still getting V2.1 it may be that your ISP has cached the files. From my own experience this week, it can sometimes take a while for them to update. If so try the following link, Run As User
