We have a Mitel 3300.
We have changed our line provider and no are longer required to press 9 to make an outside call.
I found a setting on the switch in System Administration/ System Options Assignment- Outgoing External Call Prefix for Applications set to 9. I removed this and rebooted the switch but we still can't dial out. I believbe this is called the Pre-dial mode number.
Easy, I imagine, if you know how!

There is an embedded way to thank people with the Hot links at the bottom of each post.

Supernova stole my #1 ranking recently (earned actually, but I'm still bitter)

Thanking is just a click away. (or 2 if you want to thank wannabe's like supernova - just kidding, really, I'm not all that bitter,,,,,much)

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Done lots of "thanking"- even for the I work for a very small company where there is no "it's not my job" attitude. You just bite the bullet sometimes and live with the consequences. It's not that bad - no one is crucified for messing up occasionally. As long as they make the effort to sort it out afterwards.

One thing that still doesn't work is the Phone Book numbers and Speed Dial numbers. Any ideas?
I thought I'd ask rather than guess!!(although I did remove the 9 from the start of a speed dial- but still doesn't work.

Cheers

Hi Spike,

Can you tell me what 1000 and 1100 do please

Are they hunts groups?

Can you go to the maintenance diagnostics > maintenance commands and type the following (no quoutes) 'locate num 1000' and 'locate num 1100'
and let me know what they are

As for your teldir and speed calls
you will now have to remove the '9' prefix from all these entries as you are no longer using '9' for external access

Any news on voicemail?

Any special requests for call barring?

Hi Supernova

1100 and 1000: These relate to the two incmming lines we have, I believe.

'locate num 1000' and 'locate num 1100'=
"The number ralates to a Non Prime Broadcast Group."

Removing the lead 9 didn't seem to work for Speed Call numbers- but if I delete and re--add it it, without the lead it worked- so this is OK.
Phone Book worked fine.
