Hi all, just wondering if anyone has heard anything yet...as we haven't and it's due rather soon :)

That's what I said, I got it working no problem using a CF card too, it's if you try Manager you hit problems :)

Cool - got it installed - 9620 all connected nicely - thanks to the tips from amriddle (star given) it was a painless process.

just how do you program the 4 soft keys on the front screen?

I think I like the phone..... might take some time getting used to the menus.

I believe that is done via the 46xxsettings file, there is no way via Manager as far as I can tell :)

You can program those buttons on the phone i believe
I saw an option to add features

For anyone who wants it, the above link is for a programme you can use to automatically resize your pictures to screensaver size and format, just click on the "my pictures" tab.....is quite handy :)

And if you struggle with it you need a USB stick in your machine to be able to save the picture and it goes into the following folder USB drive letter\Avaya\Pictures :)

You want another star don't you Andy?
Here you have one for it, because this is really a handy little tool even though I can't use it yet.

Does anyone have problems upgrading the 5410 to R6.0??
I have upgraded the 2410 and 5420 but the 5410 won't move. rebooted the system unplugged the phone did the whole song and dance and.... nothing it works but it stays on R5.0
And before you ask yes the working directory is correct :) Manager is running etc.

Yeah mine will not budge either, works alright on R5 anyway so no loss :)

I guess I will then post that problem with Avaya. It makes me feel better if I am not too stupid to do it and someone else has the same issue at least I know I am not alone then ;-)

Do you guys have ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES in the source code of the no user ?

Yeah, my 5410's didn't budge either. Still on R5 but they work fine.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they would need to upgrade to be compatible...

Don't ask me, I didn't design it.

Just tested on a 5410/5420, works fine for me, like tlpeter mentioned put the ALLOW_5410_UPGRADES in the no user and edit the turn_on.bat (ip address ipo) then reboot the ipo thru the manager.

OK I feel really stupid "again" I forgot the source number entry but with that in place and the reboot of the IPO it started upgrading.
I guess that one is again not my best moment with IP Office, I need to get more sleep I tell you.

thanks tlpeter and bas

I have never understood why the system needs to be convinced to upgrade 5410's.....you don't do it for 2410's or 5420's etc :)

It is because of the former 5410 upgrade missery a while back

yes I remember vaguely that the 5410's upgraded every time the system rebooted and it took forever to get them working again. Could have been fixed a different way and you would think that the problem could have been resolved with changes in the firmware but hey what do I know.
apparently nothing about the 5410's LOL
