We have an IP office 500 system and IP Office Manager 6.1 (12)

we had it installed and configured before for the normal 5410 phones.

As per status we have :

2 DS 8
1 VCM 32

i found out that we have in stock about 6 units of 4610SW IP and some 4621SW IP.

question is, how do we set this up?

we got PoE switch and had one 4610SW IP connected, it powered on and downloaded the firmwares

then on the screen, it displays

100Mbps Ethernet
* to program

then after a while displays this line "Contact DHCP/TFTP administrato, L20 params in option 43/176 or xxx.SCR script file have lopping conditions"

cant figure this out.. would really help if we can get the one who installed our system, bad thing is, he sort of died on us.

really appreciate any inputs that would put me on the right track on getting this done.

You have an issue with you vlans or DHCP

What are you using as a DHCP server? Windows Server, IP Office or something else?

Hi Matt

its me again... anyway, you can disregard this.. after some tinkering..

i was able to bring the unit up, and operating...

was able to test the call, receiving and outbound calls.. everything good..

except for some minor issues.

In IP Office manager, the digital lines i can manage, like the display name and all (user names).. is it possible to do the same setup in the 4610SW IP units?

@matt

i spoke too soon... i was able to configure and run the 4621SW IP but no luck with the 4610 SW IP.

anyways, to answer your question before, we are using Windows 2003 as the DHCP.

192.168.2.1 - Windows DHCP /server
192.168.2.2 - IP Office 500

192.168.2.202 - IP Phone

what seems to be the problem?

What do you have in option 176 in your DHCP server?

>What do you have in option 176 in your DHCP server

Oi Jamie

That was my next question.

I'd suggest that you've got soe,thing wrong with your DHCP options

As Jamie, rudely, interuptted - please post your scope option 176 from the Windows server.

Oh and you do have DHCP turned off on the IPO don't you?

I taught Jamie all I know - he was the slowest student I've ever had. Even my tortoise knows how to build shortcodes better than Jamie
