We are trying to program TIE trunks for a PRI2 card on a CS1000E. I have already programmed the DDB, CEQU, DCH, Net data, and RDB.
However, while attempting to program the 30 trunks in element manager or in LD 14, I receive err SCH0126: "Station type conflicts with existing card. For example: In LD 11, the craftperson has attempted to provision a digital set in the same IPE slot as an existing ITG card."

the system is as followed: the main cabinet is nummbered (4 0) and the expansion. so the first card in the main is 4 0 1
(the pri card is in our case in slot 1, so he is 4 0 1)

when we try to program the TIE trunk to TN 4 0 1 0, we receive above error..

the system is a CS1000E Release 7.5

Thanks,
Rev

Hi Villareal,

yes, the slot is empty.. (physically it is in 1 slot, but was not programmed.. yet)

should i take it out of the slot as well?

Regards,
Rev

No there wasn't .. it's a new install..

i do see that when you make your PRI2 loop, the system will add 2 units on that card (4 0 1 0 and 4 0 1 1). They are however unequiped when you do a stat on LD36 (the system does see them as digital trunks somehow)

We took out the card and slided it back and got XMI002 4 0 1 PRI2
.. it does see it as a PRI2 card then right?

the error is SCH0126

we can't do a TNB on the card.. it does not see it as TIE or anything else so far..

Unit 0 is the first on the card

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS AND AVAYA

The card is in the 1st slot in the 1st cabinet (shelf 0)
The system (CS1000E release 7.5) is using large format TN (l s c u). The Loop is 4. So the card is in 4 0 1.
The first unit is thus 4 0 1 0, the second is 4 0 1 1

I see. I still think the TN is simply Loop-Channel, but I may be wrong in your case.

Since I'm unsure, I did find these helper threads:

thread798-1406456
thread798-1654738
thread798-1334840

If you post the Card Number/Model, I'd like to learn more about it - that might clear it up since we will find it in the book.

Dont know what you are all on about but when you program a pri2 you put the number in the CEQU for example

PRI2 100
MG SLOT 4 0 1

When you come to do the channels it is
REQ new 30
TYPE tie
TN 100 1

Hope this helps

L S C U is used (Tradionaly) in IPE (DLC, FALC, etc.). PRI is a network card an has Traditionaly been the Network Loop it is installed in and the Channel starting at 1.

So when the CS1000E started taking on tunks at release 5 they needed to come up with a way of maintaining the format, so you use a dummy network loop (Can't clash with Superloops in 97 or TDS/CONF loops in 17) and tie it to the card using CEQU. Then as before channels are on the network loop (Starting at 1).

Dear Gents,

so what you all are saying is, to make a "dummy" network loop and bind it to the card using cequ. The TN used when making the channels would than be with what format ( l s c u ) or (l u )

we tried to make the channels earlier by using the (l u ) format, but is does not accept this format.

i will try bignose21 advice.., but i believe that we did that already.. with the new software, you are indeed asked a loop and the MG Slot. (that goes fine). But when you make the channels by using the loop and unit (e.g. L U 100 1) it will say incorrect format. When you use the l s c u format (e.g. 4 0 1 1) it will say that the station type is incorrect ( see above error message)

we did notice that when you add the card to the system (e.g. after doing
PRI2 100
MG SLOT 4 0 1

the system will add 2 tn's (4 0 1 0 and 4 0 1 1)

Thanks so far gents.. Cheers! Rev

Gents,

we were able to bring the PRI up thanks to you guys.. Bravo..

The misleading TN , should indeed be loop and unit, so e.g. 100 1.
You have to start with channel 1 instead of channel 0.

Thats why the Tn 100 0 didn't work. it should have been 100 1

Cheers!
