Phone Manager IP SP server service error

I have had several reports and have experienced difficulties with phone manager ip using either a usb handset or a plantronics bluetooth headset

I get a windows error stating an error with the sp server service. This results in varying levels of connectivity with frequent problems with the audio

Has anybody come across this and if so any suggestions would be gratefully received
 
are those both wireless headsets? have you tried a wire headset?
 
one is a bluetooth headset and one is a wired usb headset

Although I know what QOS is I'm not sure where on the user pc you would be referring to?

It just keeps popping up a windows box saying the sp server service has to close and it normally rectifies itself after a reboot as I cannot find any reference to a sp server in the services list

It isn't a service, which is why you can't see in the services control manager.

However, you can see it in task manager. It is the core H323 engine for PM Softphone from 4.2 (replaces iclarity)

As for stability, I've had no problems. First I'd look at the PC - antivirus, firewall etc

PhoneManager can only run on Windows XP SP3 or Vista Business/Ultimate.
Any other OS will show your error message.

The user has downloaded the 4.2 Phone manager but is using 4.1 software on the switch

It now is all clear
