Just installed R6.0 ACS to replace a older Partner 3.1 processor. Need assistance to have Station 10 and 11 answer the six incoming lines. Currently all stations are ringing incoming lines. What program setting to have station 10 & 11 (Operators) to handle incoming lines first, then if not answered in three rings rolls to specific other stations. Getting better and better with Partner as I go.Noticed that *71 (Paging) gets a busy tone at all stations...Used to work with older 3.1...By the way, all this would not have been needed if it wasn't for that little battery failing in 3.1 Processor..Thanks in Advance..

I figured one problem...duhhh. to use paging you have to assign extensions to Group 1 (System program 502)...One problem down one to go..

Hi PRONE2,
Go into "Centralized Programming" and press each line button for each extension. Once for delayed ring (slow flash) and once again for no ring (fast flash). A display phone will show immediate, delayed or no ring. Enter the extension again and press "**", then each intercom or line button in the order you want the lines selected.
Centralized Programming. Feature 00, left intercom button twice aand the right intercom button once. Enter the extension number. When done hit the right intercom button again and enter the next extension. Set up one extension for each type and copy it to other like extensions using the copy function (system programming, #399, ext # to copy from, extension(s) to copy to). Feature 00 when all done (or pick up & hang up the handset).

Chris: So If my operators are at Ext 10, 11, their respective phones for lines 1-6 would be immediate ring, while all other extensions would be delay ring? What is the default for Ext 10, 11 to pick up before "rolling over" to other extensions? One other point, If other extensions are set for NO RING then they will not be receiving incoming calls that are not answered by Operators at 10,11? Thanks again..Richard

Hi Richard,
Your operator extensions would normally be set for immediate ring, any extension covering the operators may have a delayed ring. Anyone can press a line button not ringing on their phone and pick the call up (assuming all lines appear on their phone). The line would be flashing red.
The extensions do not "roll over" to other extensions as in a hunt group. If two operators are having trouble handling the call volume, get an attendant for back up or have the operators clear the calls more quickly by transferring to someone else.
