Hi all,

In the office we have a Norstar SP:30AsE01 NP03. I would like to move the master phone's to another position and make my phone a simple "client".

Anyone has any idea how to do it?

because I have no idea about hardware, where can I find the jumpers?

All those wires coming off the wiring blocks from your phone equipment are jumpers. Swapping them is usually the easiest way for a tech to change an extension.

If you're just swapping 2 phones, though, you could do the same thing using set relocation. What model phones are you using?

We are using BT Meridian Norstar M7310N / NTA802AA-93

Do you mean I should swap the wires in the central control unit and for example change the position of 221 (main line) with 230 (normal handset)?

The easiest thing for you to do is go into programming: feature **config then password. go to system programming, feature settings, turn set relocation to yes. Then just physically swap the 2 phones. Go back into programming turn set relocation to no.

Thank you that worked perfectly!
Unfortunately my manager needs to keep the extensions numbers and just move the master phone features. If it's possible to explain me how to do it the it would be great.
Otherwise I'll choose the easy option. Call the company I bought it from to do it!

I did it.

I used bluemr2's advice and also I changed the extensions and finally after many phone & extension moves, we have the master phone in another position (entension) and the extension are in the same position.

Thank you guys.
