Nokia e63 / e75 sip client on ipo

Hello,

We have installed several nokia e63 / e71 phones with the native sip client on ipo. This works great.

these settings must be made in the phones and ipo:
Menu | Tools | Settings |Connection |Sip settings | New SIP profile

Profile name: [your name]
Service profile: IETP
Default access point : [your access point]
Public user name: [extension number]@[ip address ipo]
Use compression: no
Registration: always on
Use security: no
Proxy server:

Registrar server
Registrar server adress:ip address ipo]
Realm: [extension name]@ [ip address ipo]
User name:[extension number]
Password: [login password user]
Transport type: auto
Port: 5060

Menu | Tools | Settings |Connection |Internet telephone | New profile

Select your added SIP profile

Menu | Communication | Internet tel. | Options |Settings

Change default call type to Internet call


In the IPO create a default use and SIP extension, and enable the sip client settings in the system tab.

There is one thing to change:

On the Extension tab disable Force Authorization


These settings works great for the e63/e71. On the e75 phone it won't work. It seem something to do with the contact header in the SIP message:

especially the contact field are different:
e71:

On the e75 there is no extension number in the contact field. therefore the ipo gives a BAD REQUEST.
Does somebody know how to solve this?

for the E75 try to change the number to name for the username in the registrarserver settings.

I have it working on E70/E66/E51/E71/E90 but none of them can do a transfer.

OK found an addon for SIP on a Nokia E75 to have soma advanced settings;

I tried to log on with extension name or number, but always the same fault.

The nokia addon I already installed on the phone.

You could try to fill in the Full Name in the Manager and use that as Regitrar. (No Spaces in the Names!)

I send this question also to avaya:

I discussed this with one of our SIP developers and we came to the conclusion, I believe that this is not a bug. According to rfc3261, if Contact is present in the REGISTER, it should contain address binding and this strange value is obviously a non existing binding. I would expect that they can configure this on the client, but since I don't have e75 can't be certain. we state that we don't guarantee support of non tested endpoints. There is not anything we can change on the IPO config, as you see below, we receive this contact from the Nokia.

They say it's not an ipo problem, it must be the nokia..

You could try a up/downgrade of the firmware in the nokia. The E70 also had a problem with a specific firmware so that needed an upgrade. But you could try a downgrade they might have broken something in the newer firmware.

any idea how to down grade the nokia? I'am not very formiliar with nokia. when i try to update the phone, the phone tells me there are no updates. the phone is on level 110.48.125.

i can't find any downgrade firmware / manual

You could try with "Phoenix service suite" but be carefull because you can damage the phone also not sure if they support the E75 yet.

I noticed you have the E71 working on the IP Office?
I have an E71 connected but get one way speech (no audio on E71) Did you have this problem? If so how did you get past it, it driving me nuts!!
I have other SIP clients working OK

Bas1234, transfer on Nokia does not work because they (Nokia) do not respect the RFC3515!

Look in the REFER! Nokia does not corectly support REFER!

Look in RFC3515 and you can compare and see the problem!

It´s bin a while, but i managed to get it to work.

with the new 6.0 firmware it works. The e75 is now connected to the IPO
