Hello. On our Opt 61C, Rls 25.15, we made a change in LD 56 before the weekend, following instructions for turning off conference warning tone. Now our handsets have no dial tone. Can anyone tell me how to reversee the changes made, or apply the correct settings to reinstate dial tone? We only use first dial tone, before dialling the AC for an outside line.

This is the instruction followed in the first place, which resulted in loss of dial tone:

"Turn it off in ld 56

>ld 56

HCCT yes

ring=no
hcct=yes
cfwt=no

<ENTER> down to cfwt
xton=0

xcad=0

(You will only see cfwt as an option if it is not already set to default of 0)

This makes the tone and cadence for warning tone = silence.

It will not take effect until after midnight routines.

If instead you go to disable switch1, position 4 *set to ‘on’) on the conf card, be sure to disable them first and only one at a time."

The change took effect within an hour or so of the change being made - it did not wait for the midnight routines.

Also didn't have to change the cfwt setting as it was already set to 0

This is the FTC print afterwards, when dial tone had disappeared:

Thanks for getting back. You got me there though - should have also explained that my knowledge is seriously limited! If you can tell me what Alaw and Mulaw are and where I can look to answer your question, I will.

I would look it up but don't have access to the manuals today.

Thanks!

which country are you in?

Am I right that the ATRN setting is Mulaw and the INTN setting is Alaw?

Does this answer your question?

good luck & yeeeeeeeee Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Scott UK

Thanks! I'll get cracking and let you know how I get on.

Hello again.

Checked and adjusted settings as you suggested and just had confirmation from the site that we now have dial tone restored! No other reports of having broken anything else in the process, so looks like a big yeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaa from me!

Only differences in the settings now are:

our CAMP we have CDNC = 17 (instead of your 35)

our FCAD WCAD 37 CDNC = 0066 0006 0066 0006 9999 0000 0000 (instead of your 9999)

Both of these are as they were before the problem came up, so I have left them as they are.

Monday looks better now - MASSIVE thanks to you!
