Have an IP Office 500 system setup and working just fine...

About 10-20% of the time when a user dials a call, half way through dialing they get the tone you get as if you didn't dial 9 to start the call, yet they did start with a 9...there is a free line available so that is not the issue...

What setting might fix this problem or what might I look for in the Monitor.

Thanks for all your help,
Matthew

Here is some more information...

The tone is actually a "busy tone" and not the same as one you get if you don;t get an outside line...

Also it looks like the Monitor displays:

CALL LOST (CMCauseUnallocatedNumber)

It looks like slow diallers, they dial 0161, scrabble around on the desk looking for the rest of the number and by the time they get their act together the network has decided to reject it.

can you get a trace using sysmon, default plus isdn events and post it here.

What shortcodes do you use for offsite dialing i.e ? . dial or 9N N Dial etc

Yes we use 9 to get a line...

I can sometimes link it to slow dialing or even "fast" dialing to...

Dialing repeat digits is the only way i can replicate the problem right now.

Thanks

That trace doesnt have the default options plus isdn enabled.

I know you dial 9 for an outside line, but are there other shortcodes in there set to give Busy that certain numbers are matching?

ACS - IP Office Implement

Every short code starts with a "*" other than "9N"

They are all the default shortcodes created by the system.

Try to put 9N; instead of 9N so system will wait for the whole number before dialing out or will time out by Dial Delay value (which is 4 secs by default)...
