New messages going straight into saved messages

I have a Norstar ICS 4.0 system and a user is getting complaints that messages are left in the mailbox and the user does not get notified that a new messages exists. Instead, the messages appear to go directly into the saved messages. The user does not keep messages in the mailbox, so I don't think the mailbox is full. It appears to be just one extension. Can anybody tell me what to check?

I cannot think of anything positive to do, it does not sound like anything I have seen before.

Try this: delete the mailbox, add another mailbox as a placeholder, now re-enter the original mailbox. then delete placeholder mailbox. You could try to just delete and re-create first if you want to. JerryReeve
