I recently installed some 5320 IP phones in a remote location to the 3300.
Users have 2 issues.
1. User has 3 phones, with 3 DID lines appearing, and ringing on each phone. When user "A" picks up a call, puts it on hold for user "B" to pick up, they cannot. I have turned privacy off everywhere I can find it. The appearances are programmed as multicall.
2. Same phones as above. Users all have voice mail turned off.
Instead, they wish for all calls, 24x7 to be forwarded to an outside, local answering service. I built a 1st alt reroute table, set the 4 entries relating to no answer to "this", defined a forward to number, built that same number in the system speed call table to go to the ans. svc. COS allows forward no answer, and timer is set to 15. Removed, and redefined all the sets, moved the 1st alt to a different table number. Nothing.
Any thoughts anyone.
p.s. both of these features work on other 5320's for this customer at different, remote locations. I copied the same data for these, abd they do not work.
Thanks for reading.

1: either "To use the Hold key to retrieve calls, ensure that "Call Hold Retrieve with Hold Key" is enabled in the Class of Service of the phone"
2: Call forward-no answer Timer set out to a ridiculous amount?

When you say "nothing" what do you mean? What release of software>

For the first issue use a group park key. Calls placed in the group park will light on all phones that share the key. If you need to park more than 1 at a time use more than one Park key.

For the second, the likely issue is that the trunk does not allow the call either by COR or COS. The trunk requires Public to Public connection for example.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Multicall keys by definition do not allow you to place them on hold to be picked up on another set. As kwbMitel use the park feature or think about going to key line appearances.

Again as above check your COS for public to public.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks to all of you who have responded. I got the issue with picking up calls on hold resolved.
I may not have been clear describing the call forwarding issue.
I have 3 remote locations, all using DID services, all using 5320 sets. None are using voice mail. All are assigned to the same COR, and COS. they are using different 1st alt reroute destinations, but are using the feature the same way, which is the no answer fields (4) are set to this, and the destination number is defined in the system speed call table, with the outside number defined as the "actual number".
This feature works fine at 2 of the 3 locations....
Release level is 4.1, active software is 10.1.1.11_2.

Yes, but what is the actual fail condition...reorder tone/message/NU ......?

What was the issue with the hold?

Actual result is calls do not forward, they continue to ring until caller hangs up.
The COS Call forward no answer timer is set to 15.
At the other locations where this does work, this frowards on about the 4th ring.

The issue with the calls on hold was the call hold retreive with hold key option. It was set to no

OK, I finally figured it out.
I had not defined the 1st alt reroute assigned to the DID Directory numbers in the rerouting table, only to the prime number assigned to the phone. Made the change, works like a champ.
Thanks again everyone.
