Micros 3700 BUG Found in Autoseq Reports ANY RES Version Lower 5.7.5 Date Range Stops on 12/31/2020 24

Dear all

In ANY Versions 3.2 up to 5.7

Some of you might already come across an issue with the RES Calendar End on 31.12.2020.
In any version lower than RES 5.7.5 the calendar in the system will end at 31.12.2020, starting from that date calendar will not be available so the customers will not be able to work.

Issue: RES Calendar End on 31.12.2020 -- Solution: Upgrade to RES 5.7.5.
there will be no Patch for any other version.


Pos Configurator same issue
Menu Item Prices > Date 2021+ Working
Schedule Classes Specific Date > Date not Working
Employee Stop Working > Different Calender Integrated Working

 
Hi All -

Has anyone run into any issues when administering the patch? I tried it on a virtual system unsuccessfully (Windows failed to start during the restart). Going to try it on a live system this week and was wondering what the common experience has been?

Ive run into a problem where the terminals and virtual terminals are very slow/freezing, I have addressed in another thread but still have not resolved
 
How difficult to fix the bug by ourselves? Oracle charges $650 to fix it per location.

We have five locations, running different Res 3700 versions.

According to we can apply patches on location A,D and E by ourselves fairly easily, right?

Location A
5.5 MR4
5.5.0400.4627

Location B
5.4 MR1
5.4 0100.2276

Location C
5.4 MR1
5.4 0100.2276

Location D
5.5 MR5
5.5 0500.4864

Location E
5.5 MR1
5.5 0101.3787

Just run the proper MR release for each location. It really doesn't get any easier.

RES 5.4 MR6
RES 5.5 MR7
RES 5.6 MR3
RES 5.7 MR5
 
Yeah it really is as simple as getting the proper exe and running it. My workflow has been this...

(EM environment)

Make a DB backup

Got to control panel and bring down the store DB

Paste the exe into the proper folder for RES

Run the exe (this could take a few minutes)

System will reboot

Go back to control panel and reload the DB

Done



 
Just download & install a MR release?

Which file?

RES 3700 5.4.1 (including RES 5.4.1 Gen 2 Prerequisites and RES 5.4.1 Setup ISO image) <--- For this one, it appears to install version 5.4.0100.2276, which is the version current I have AND the version that Oracle said cannot apply the calendar patch and must upgrade to 5.4.1 first.

I have applied 5.4 MR6 on 5.4 MR1 and now date issue is fixed in AutoSequence And Report but calendar issue in EM Synchronize Store Total is not fixed and i am not able to select any date after 31 Dec 2020.


Please if someone can help

It seems I need to install 5.4 MR6 to upgrade from current 5.4.0100.2276. Once applied, what's the upgraded version?

Yes i have applied the patch and issue fixed in autosequance and reports but not on the EM Synchronize Store Total utility , in this utility still i am not able to change year to 2021.

Yes and its worked perfectly but still as i have shared the image i am not able to select 2021 dates in EM Total synchronization Utility.
Looking for workaround if someone can help.

Does anyone have any alternative or Workaround for 4.7...

In the case of 5.5 if it worked for me just replacing the autosequence.exe and restarting the remoting
