Micros 3700 BUG Found in Autoseq Reports ANY RES Version Lower 5.7.5 Date Range Stops on 12/31/2020 24

Dear all

In ANY Versions 3.2 up to 5.7

Some of you might already come across an issue with the RES Calendar End on 31.12.2020.
In any version lower than RES 5.7.5 the calendar in the system will end at 31.12.2020, starting from that date calendar will not be available so the customers will not be able to work.

Issue: RES Calendar End on 31.12.2020 -- Solution: Upgrade to RES 5.7.5.
there will be no Patch for any other version.


Pos Configurator same issue
Menu Item Prices > Date 2021+ Working
Schedule Classes Specific Date > Date not Working
Employee Stop Working > Different Calender Integrated Working

 
In the process of doing a patch on 5.5. Everything went ok except 1 terminal - "Installation of Win32RES Failed"

Then it gets in a multiple boot loop.

All other terminals are operational.
 
OK - Update.

On the 5.5 system with the rebooting terminal. It eventually came back online with no other attention.

At one location, after applying the 5.4 MR6 patch to fix the calendar bug, when starting Res on the Back Office PC (server), received "OPS software license not found error" . Not onsite now so unsure if workstaions have the same error.

Nothing else (license manager, workstaion config, etc.) has changed, so it must be the patch that caused it.

Updated:

Added a license code (i.e: 11) in License Manager and use the new code for server (was 99 in POS Config -> Workstation-> Server license code, now 11), and it works now.


 
Restarted the distributed services manager windows service.

Restarted distributed services didn't work.

I guess, it was because when running the update patch, there were some permission issues. I added a license code for the back office pc and it worked. Then, a new issue: all pinpads reported error (Micros error: failed to create an instance with CLS component, or some words like that). I ran the update patch again: this time, I ensured I ran the patch as an admin, and then the pinpads issue were gone.

You're an efficiency machine. Does anyone know if any of these patches work with 5.0? It appears as though the earliest version is 5.4. Thanks in advance.
 
You're welcome. I think 5.4 is the oldest you can run which should be fine for people still running Workstation 4's.

My least expensive path to getting the calendar bug fix then is to upgrade to 5.4. Does any authority on here know if I can upgrade from 5.0 to 5.4 using my rather old WS4's? During these uncertain COVID-19 times, I cannot commit to eight new WS4's, a new server and, and installation. Which is the highest version that the WS4 can handle? Thank you and Happy New Year.

I have Workstation 4's running on 5.4. That's the highest for them. WK4LX's can go higher.
 
Hey all!

I'm hoping I can get a little help now. lol

I'm looking for some KDS assistance. Does anyone have doc on a DT166 700876-218? I need to know how to clear / format it to bring it back to fresh. The 200 and 210s are done differently. Also, is there any updated software for that unit? I got it to cal but, it's giving me a licensing issue and I have the license installed. I'm running 5.4 on this test system. Any info or files would be greatly appreciated!
