Hello
I have a Magix V5 R7 with a PRI & I am trying to forward 3 D.I.D's to cell phones. I searched the site & picked up some good tips on how this is done. I have been able to get this to work on an internal call but not on a outside call. I had setup a test extension (an 4412D+) programmed a forward button on it. Setup an auth #. Set enabled remote call, enabled trunk to trunk transfer, programmed the number & when i call the D.I.D i just get a busy tone. When I call the ext# internally it forwards out to the programmed #.
Is there something that I am missing????? I have seen some posts able rotary enable and reliable disconnect. I tried the rotary enable & it didnt make a difference, and i am not 100 % positive about the reliable disconnect.

Ive worked on Magix systems off & on for about 10 years, but i am no expert.

Thanks in advance for any info that anyone can give.

Techguy137,

It's not the rotary you heard about that's for Merlin Messaging "Out Calling" extensions.
In the KEY mode "Auto Line Select" plays a roll in what line is grabbed to do the out calling.
When your voice terminal is idle where is the red light??

I think the Magix only went to V4.

Mike

Merlinman,

The auto line selection? Does it matter in all modes?

Thanks for all of the responses!!!!
Yes, all phones first presence is SA Ring & everything has a TAC of 9.
The system is in Hybrid mode.
my bad on the version it is a V4

So does the forwarding have to go out on a SA Voice?

You don't need an auth code unless it is a phantom extension or if you want to be able to turn it on/off from another phone. You will need to program the number as 9xxx-xxx-xxxx or however you currently dial out. If it works internally, but not externally it would lead me to think trunk to trunk transfer is not actually on for that extension. Internall calling doesn't need this as it is not coming in on a trunk. I would double-check that.

ok, i will post a print of the extension that im testing with tomorrow. I know that i turned it on. yes all stations require an outside line to access a trunk. would VM screw it up???? I dont need VM on these stations at all only to call out, however these outcalling stations do change on a monthly basis

Did you check on Reliable Disconnect? Having a mailbox and coverage won't affect its ability to forward to an outside number.

Here is the test ext i was working on & Tommy, where would I check Reliable disconnect?

I searched the site 7 found where I can set this at. Im going to go onsite today & check it out. BTW these are phantom exts for calling out purposes only. there are no phones sets attached to these extensions.

Techguy,

How about adding the area code along with the 7 digit number, have you tried that?

Mike

You may also want to try putting a pause after the 9 and before the rest of the number. * is a pause.

Ok Guys

Went on site today, I turned on LS disconnect. tried to forward out & got a busy signal. I tried to call the extension internally & I got a busy. This was after I turned on LS disconnect on that it stopped forwarding out internally. I tried the pause, I tried the area code. I made sure trunk to trunk transfer is on. Remote call forward is on & when I call the D.I.D. of the number i want to forward out i get a busy, a fast busy tone btw. I did notice that there is the Rmt Call Frwd Pool. Do these extensions have to have a pool assignment to go out??? I am stumped on this one.
