Greetings,

Does anyone have a config for IPO to NEC SV8100 via PRI.

Thanks,
Quaz

You can try different protocols but a tandem connection like this will require that one system is set as CO and the other as CPE.
IPO PRI settings has this selection. In fact you can connect to IPO PRIs together with one set to CO and the other set to CPE.

I have it set to CO. I can get to the NEC side and hold a conversation. Right now I have no caller-id. From the NEC side, I can make the phones ring, pick it up and have a talk path; then the call drops. The NEC has seven million settings for everything. I should be able to find a config to make it work. I saw a post sometime ago, and the suggestion was to use Qsig. Any suggestions?

QSig is the "NEC" Term to connect to dis-similar machines . I would suggest you post in the NEC Forum. I am sure that some of the folks will be happy to assist you

I don't think the SV8100 is one of the NEC systems that supports QSIG. If they are talking but the lines are dropping that sounds like a timing issue to me. One side should be pulling its timing from the other.
The NEC T1/PRI settings should be in 10-03. The SV8100 should have some network options but those are going to be NEC's CCIS. You probably want one of the "leased line" settings.

You'll get your best diagnostic information from looking at the IP Office and System Status. You could also just swap the timing source on the T1 in the IPO and see if that makes a difference in the call drops.

There is a cheat sheet on the Internet that NECGURU has ~ Try a web search under nectekhelp ~ It will at least give you some guidance
