The R9.1 introduces IPDect R4 Resiliency between IPBSs and IP Office, does anyone know if this feature is supported on non R4 terminals (GAP/CAP) or not?
Docs and KB are not clear.
I still haven't found any third party DECT handset which works on DECT R4, mainly handover doesn't work.
Resiliency is not strictly for Avaya handsets, the handsets are registered as IP phones and use a Avaya IP Endpoint license.
You are right, handower doesn't work but they are in a single cell environment and would have resiliency.
I have some doubts because resiliency works with h323 proprietary phones principles, it means the handset should de-register from a system to register on another one.
you are right (again) intrigant and I agree with you but, like in the "standard SCN resiliency" the users are automatically created into the opposite system, I wonder if this is allowed to non proprietary dect handsets, like the non proprietary H.323 in the SCN fallback environment.
5.5.8
DECT R4 Resiliency
Supported on all DECT R4 handsets, IP base stations (compact and regular) and IP DECT gateways, this new feature provides enhanced resiliency for businesses and organizations depending on their mobile DECT solution for critical communications.
