I know it's possible but I have had some problems...I followed Avaya's tech tip 90 for loading multiple IP Office Manager suites on my notebook pc. I have a IP406V2 running 3.0 (59) that I would like to downgrade to 2.1 (44). When I choose the appropriate directory in the 2.1 Manager (c:\program files\avaya\ipoffice\manager21_44\) for the .bin files which are there from the 2.1 Admin cd and I run the Upgradewiz from the \manager21_44 directory it shows the IP406 with 3.0 (59) loaded but a blank under what is available. Has anyone had to downgrade units? Should I have this all open and do a system erase from the RS-232 port on the unit?

Thanks,

Just go directly to the directory which have the 2.1(44) files go unto the bin directory click on the upgrade wizard from inside the directory that should work

or in manager select change working directory & select the directory with your V2.1(44) bin files.

DO NOT use the rs232 ports for software upgrades on a working system there is no need. the RS232 port should only be used for disaster recovery if all other proccesses have failed.
