Hello Guys,

I have just installed at a customers an IPO 500v2 with 2 x ISDN 2's (Bare in mind this is a bit of a weird setup) the IPO is running R.9.1.

One of the ISDN 2's has 100 DDIs and the other doesn't, at the moment I am having to bring the calls in via 1 circuit on line group 0 and I will have to push out the calls via line group 5 (the other circuit without the DDI range)

But when a user makes a call the billing number is displayed (I would expect this as the DDI block range is not on that circuit) however I have tried putting a shortcode on the user with the following:

0N
Dial
Ns0121XXXXXXX
5

Theoretically this should dial the number you want then show the end user those digits, but for some reason the call does not connect at all. I have ran traces and it doesn't show a clear indication as to what is happening. It shows the calls as connected for 1 - 2 seconds then clears instantly and gives no more information. (Although my mobile phone never actually rings)

Any help would be appreciated, Normally I would blame BT at this point but if they weren't accepting the CLI presentation then surely the call would still connect with the billing number? (This i am unsure of)

Kind Regards,
Chris

You can only send numbers relevant to the actual circuit, as these are 2 separate ISDN2 bearers you cannot send numbers from one out the other.
This is always the case, you can however pay for number presentation to force it at exchange level though :)

I missed the second part of your post, it should in theory go through on the pilot number yes, monitor traces will reveal what's happening....don't use SSA :)

I think they're just as an example of a number Cor, he isn't actually sending x's to line....

Haha correct yes, the X's is just an example of one of the DDI block range.

With regards to monitor that's what I was using, it was matching the shortcode on the user and then just dropping, there wasn't anything in particular that told me why it dropped. I can drop the trace in ?

@Amriddle what do I need to ask the line provider for in order to force number presentation? Thanks :D

Unfortunately I am not at the site and I cannot verify what the user is experiencing either when they dial out, when she tried calling my mobile she said she heard dial tone and then high pitched squealing haha! Is it likely something to do with BT blocking me from changing the outgoing digits?

Appreciate all your help guys.

Cheers,
Chris
