In an environment with 2 IPO 500v2s connected by SCN…

Site A has 50 IP phones
Site B has 10 IP phones

If the IP phones at site A failover to site B, do I need to have 60 end point licenses at site B in order to have all 60 phones work?

Thanks.

no, backup IPO will operate for 30 days without any additional licenses in an SCN environment

1 more related question, in the event of a system outage in system A, will the hunt groups in system A get copied to system B, or do I have to pre-program them in system B in the event of an outage in system A? Thanks again.

@VinylDave - No, if the backup system is rebooted it will no longer support the phones that have failed over to it.

Also, failover system needs sufficient VCM channel to cope with suddenly supporting 5 times as many IP phones.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.
