ipo 500 with 1616 phones 6

I've got a Ipo500 with 4.2.11 soft

The Ip phone's start up. The adresses are entered and then the phone displays INCOMPATIBEL.

Any idea's

Did the phone's upgrade ?
They use http instead of tftp,you can use a CF card for this
The ipo can handle the http

Notsetinstone, that should not matter
The 16xx are the same as for the CM and should work
The number was wrong and not the product

no, he didn't upgrade

I'll try it. I've used the manager to upgrade, but it didn't work

The phones need to upgrade or they will not work

The QE 16xx do not say incompatible :)
They just start up

It should be possible but i never did it
The QE is going end of sale anyway :)
I only had trouble with it

That's interesting, but it not available so you can't do it. I know this because we ordered the wrong phones based on info on the marketingtools site, which they have now corrected. If we can't get our hands on it then its no good to me even if it exists.

You need to contact Avaya for this and probably send them back to get them upgraded back

So in the end you will have working phones :)

1616 phones ara always the same, what changes is the loaded firmware.
You can use the QE phones as well, Avaya published a procedure to migrate the QE phones to IPO ones, I did it, it took just 10 mins each (there is a FTP wizard tool do that).

Me too. i have a QE 1616 that i would love to change to IPO..Actually i have a few of them
