I am trying to set up a Dialogic Diva USB ISDN modem on a Virtual windows XP pro PC here (would love it to work on host PC which is W7 but is not supported) in the UK so that I can remotely manage client's Avaya IP Office.

We have 2 others on a 2 x BRI cards, and these all work, mine in the same port does not.

The software and drivers install OK but when I do a line test I get:
Layer 1 error: check cable/NT

The cable is OK and our IP Office works OK on our ISDN2 connection

The Diva ISDN monitor tool has 2 green lighrts but doing a line test it shows an error s

Does anyone know if there are any specific settings that I need to get this working?

If any further information is needed to assist me with this please ask

This is an OS issue, XP not being designed to be virtualised probably can't even see the modem.
Best bet is to get yourself a Draytek mini vigor 128, they work fine on windows 7 as the drivers are available from the Draytek website.
We use 2 of them and they're spot on :)

AM, do you know anywhere you can still buy the Drayteks from? Have been looking to get a couple more for months now with no luck.

We have these working on 2 other Windows Virtual XP PC's fine....

ut only supported on XP, I have a modem supported on XM just cant get it to work (albeit its a Windows Virtual PC), ideally it would be easier to have something that worked on W7.

The ones I posted are supported on Windows 7, at least they released drivers for them for 7, if it's me you are talking to there :)

thank you amriddle01 if these work on windows 7 i will get one of these, can you confirm no issues on 64bit version ?
