Im struggling like hell to get my sip trunks working with gradwell.

I have calls working outbound with 2 way audio.

Ive got our firewall guys to basically route a public IP address to the private one the PBX is on, and unlike previously, i can now see incoming INVITE on making a call in.
Ive also had it at one point today, where by a phone would ring on an incoming call, however, there was no audio, and the mobile i was calling off wasnt aware that the phone had been answered, likewise, the PBX wasnt dropping calls when the mobile hung up

Any ideas?
Pulling my hair out now.

Thanks guys
I've sent the requests off for the firewall to be locked down again.
Was only as it is now for testing purposes.

Gradwell won't help with PBx config :(

I've set it up as 2 trunks as they say calls must be routed via their sbc severs
However outbound works ok without it and I can only get inbound to half work if I specify the ip that calls come in from, as the itsp domain sever.

I hadn't noticed the codecs, I'll check that out.

I do have a supplier but it's getting time to deal with them out of hours when I can restart the damn thing every 2 mins!
I'll certainly buy someone a few beers if they can fix a guy in needs problem! :)

From what I can see now codec is set as above, still no good :(

you'll also want to enable the rtp keep alives.
and get another provider willing to work out of hours.

I've turned that on - no difference :(
I know... I just want this working now! Spent a few weeks on it and feel as if I've progressed slightly but now stuck!

Any help would be gratefully received! Or if it's the wrong provider I'm using or similar?

Thanks folks

So the dual Trunk is just guesswork then.

Did you secure the system? At least change the default pwd's?

Kind regards

Gunnar

I can't :( the security password isn't default,
Submitted a ticket to get that done though.

And guesswork indeed, but seems to be the only way I can get calls out working!

To reset the security password you need a serial cable. Connect you computer to the DTE port on the back of the IPO and use Putty or any other terminal program to perform the AT commands needed.

- Enter: AT-SECURITYRESETALL
- Confirm the MAC address, type it in
- It will respond OK when completed.
- Close the session

If you are on thin ice here, I would suggest that you contact your BP or get a new one.
You're in Wakefield as far as I can see. Try Jamie77, he's a Loiner [smile]

I strongly suggest that you pull that LAN2 plug, you have no protection on, the auto crate extn is on (on the sip trunk), IP routes are inviting in everyone, and you even have a working PRI.

Once the hackers grab you IP, your phone bill will be higher than if I got on a plane and went to England, billing every hour spent.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I can't reach the system anymore so Eddie is save for now :)
Who is your reseller? Southern Comms or Border telecom?
As you can see i know this now because the system was fully visible on the internet with default credentials.
I won't do anything with this info but there are many other who will and even make phone calls with your system just to make money.
An IP route with 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 172.xx.xx.xx means anybody with any IP address can see it.
Get a decent knowledge company who will help you out.
Yes it will cost you but in the end it will save you.

HSM, jamie77, Amriddle are all form the UK (i probably forgot some)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I have now closed the system :)
It's not either of those two companies above...
It may be actually worth me speaking to Jamie looking at who he works for!!

I spoke to my provider and we are goin g to try and work through it,
I was hoping I could do it myself and it would be straight forward but doesn't seem that way !

Does anyone have any ideas why calls are failing once they have got through then?

Thanks

Good job by closing it down :)
I am not sure where Jamie works exactly.
But he is around here a lot.

Well done, Edward!

Your config is a bit confusing, and the dial short code is not pointing at the SIP ARS, so you were probably making that call on the ISDN16. (That's why it worked one way, but not the other)

Kind regards

Gunnar

I had a 7 short code, which sent the calls over sip.
Via 51 ARS.

It definitely worked 100%, outbound. Cli tied in, and sip traces showed okay.
It's just inbound :(

Inbound your line group I'd is not 0 so your incoming call route for the sip numbers should be the same as in the sip trunk uri's.

are based in Wakefield

Wouldn't like to say if they are any good or not!!!! ;-)

Can't on here Eddie. But I believe you are already in conversation with a colleague.

Could you please leave this to your engineer to sort this out and not on here. You will be getting answers from all directions that could muddy the waters.

Yup appreciTe that

I was trying to do the majority of it on my own and get things working! I'll take it as a learning curve, it's not that easy haha!

Just out of interest, is it tht I'm using the wrong sip provider?
Who do others use?

Speak to Eric about your SIP provider. It is not one of ours, but that doesn't make it wrong.
