So one of the new features in release 11.1 is the ability to use One-X Portal for the IM capability in IX Workplace 3.8 instead of the cloud service Avaya Spaces / Zang.
As anybody been able to get this to work?
There's a setting in Manager in System where you can set the IM provider to be One-X, which I did, but IM functionality in IX is not working. There's a red triangle saying that "Messages may not be up to date". If I hover above the little chat bubble for IM on a contact, it says that "Messages are unavailable".
For some reason, if I go in the XMPP console (OpenFire), I see my users are not even online, but local presence is working and the IM service in One-X is working also. Weird. I reset the IX apps a couple of times also, to no avail.
There's not much info on Avaya's side about this (not surprising), but I figured if there was other settings to change to make this work, this would be documented somewhere.
