I have a IP office that is connected to a valcom V-2001A. A analog station port is connected to the top jack on the unit marked
tip and ring page. I read in the Valcom manaual that it is not intended for analog station port connection.
I have read through many of the answers to issues on this site. With that being said, The IP office extension is set to
paging. The short code is set to dial the extension number of the port that is connected. Using the external paging buttons
on the phones gives a busy signal "no page". There are no resistors or interface devices between the valcom and IP office.
The analog station port has no dial tone like the others on the card. Is this normal when the port is set to page?
I may just use the advice I found on this site to programm it to use a trunk instead. Can a analog phone set on the station
port left off hook solve the problem easily instead?. I have read many solutions to paging issues but I am not sure which would best
apply to my situation. Thanks
