Hi,

I am having an issue with new install of IP Office V7 with embedded VM. I can get the AA Day greeting to work via Time Profile but Night Greeting doesnt work, rings twice and then it sounds like fax tone at times or just keeps ringing

Here is what I set:

One AA called Main

One Time Profile with Day and Night times defined, recorded greetings via *8301 (day), *8303 (night)

Incoming call route Destination

Ddefault > AA:MAIN
Night > AA:Main

I did not set a fallback extension

Thanks

why would you have both night and default going to the same AA?

I did create another AA greeting named Main2 and had the same issue. So then I thought the system would determine the correct AA greeting based on the time profile since the greetings are recording using different codes, recorded greetings via *8301 (day), *8303 (night)

Thanks

Make 2 Auto Attendants. Call one Day, and the other Night. Record the message in *840X, where X is the AA number, and don't use *810X, *820X, or *830X recordings at all.

Your incoming route would be first entry AA:Night and the 2nd, with the Time Profile for OPEN would be AA:Day

Thanks for your help, I will try this later today. Is there a way to set up a button to turn AA on and off, so I can have the phones just ring without AA. This way calls can come through while I'm figuring this out.

For button control instead of time control, point your calls to the hunt group Main.

Create a short code, action is Auto Attendant, point to the AA you want to answer

Create s user, and forward it (including hunt group calls) to this new shortcode

Create a new sequential hunt group, and put that user in it

In the Main hunt group, make the new group the Night Service Fallback group

On a phone, put a button for Set Hunt Group Night Service (Main hunt group)

Calls ring the main hunt group. Press the NS button, calls hit the auto attendant.
