Embedded VM Analog Phones can't enter MB# using *17

Recently replaced IP500v1 (R9.0) with IP500v2 (R11.1). This was not an upgrade, but a replacement. A Phone30 Exp Mod was reused. Now analog phones (on Phone30) dialing *17 get the prompt to enter their mailbox number. However, it seems that the DTMF tones are not heard by the VM System. An odd note is that they can call an outside AA and use DTMF to make selections. It is only in the VM. Note: digital phones have no problem with the *17 features.

I read an old string where not using a 2-step upgrade, when appropriate, could cause the Expansion module to not pass DTMF tones. However, since this is 9.0 to 11.1, I don't believe 2-step upgrade is necessary. Plus, the ability to use off-premise AA's leads me to believe that this is not the same problem.

Thoughts???

You stated it's a replacement, have you correctly built the new SD card including all the system files? Did you restore the old R9.0 config in the system?

Yes, the SD Card has all the system files. But, I completely rebuilt the config due to multiple changes. This was treated as a new install. However, I reused their phone sets and the Phone 30 Mod that they had with their old system. It was upgraded to match the IPO Firmware.

If the expansion firmware is the correct one (check it...) I don't think is an issue about the DTMF registers in it, you could'nt be able to dial any digit. Let's try to set the standard VM short as a User Short code and check, or eventually try by using a different SC not using the *.
