IP Office to Definity H.323 Audix

I have a definity S8300 with G700 gateway connected to IPO 406v2 h.323 QSIG. I am trying to set the IPO up to use the Audix conencted to the definity. When audix answers it tells me to enter the extension I am leaving a message for instead of going straight to the mailbox. Any ideas?

I have never performed this, but I seem to remember there was technical Tip some years back now on exaclty how it should be configured.

Search and find the tech tip. If contains setup infor the the IPO, Definity and Intuity Audix.

you get this when the Intuity does not recieve the station id from the IPOffice station. If you check the Monitor log, look to see if the "Calling" ID is blank, if so then the Intuity will not know the call is for a mailbox.

I recently had Avaya try to setup the link as "QSig B" but I find the issue is almost always in the Definity Trunk. Make sure that the Supplemntal Protocol is set to "B" (This is QSig) because the default is "A".

Also Hairpining on the trunk will prevent the Definity from reading the Calling Station ID.

Pretty sure there is a job aid in Toolkit pertaining to this...
Had it running in the lab a while back-did'nt take long at all.
Yeah,I found it-pdf files...job aids...connecting an IP600
to an IP Office via h.323 trunk.
IP600 is extinct Definity,but procedure should be roughly the same.
Of course there are variables pertaining to S8300,S8500,etc.

Yes. The extensions cover to voicemail it just does not send the right information, the extension, and so audix answers but does not know what box to send it to.

Look at your ISDN traces. You will be able to determine which pbx needs the work. You should be able to see the extension number and audix group number in the traces.

did you try a Trace on the Definity? I would look at that and see if there is a station ID being passed to the Audix. I'm guessing there isn't.

what number are you calling to access voicemail?

The number I am using to access voicemail is 666 (we use a 600 block and no one wants that extension so we used it for voicemail...) From what I can tell the station ID is not being passed to Audix.

When the IPO calls the Definity:

The Definity displays the Name and Extension.

I tried that and the Generic Audix still answers not knowing what mailbox to point to. Any other ideas?
