Seems they decided to anticipate the release of the R11 Maintenance (originally scheduled for marh 29th) and to jump over the R11 SP3, getting a little bit confused, there...

Acollard and those with equinox cert issue. I'm not sure about security of this but you can add cert to primary folder using file manager. Copy text of autogenerated settings file and make new file. Modify SETTRUSTCERTS xxx
Where xxx is cert filename. Save and add to primary folder.

That fixed it for us

Update from my Thursday install on R11.0.4 that was handed to me and I didn't have time to downgrade
All J179 phones
embedded vm in Intuity mode (of course :) as that is the good one)

you cannot log into the mailbox with dialing *17 and then hit # pw # as it will not recognize it, you have to instead use the full extension number # pw # (my extensions are 5 digits AHHHH)
You cannot enter a new pw from the *17 interface and have to use the visual voice to do so

This release is CRAP

Hey Avaya test your sh!t and not let us be on customer site looking like idiots when we train customers and stuff doesn't work.

Maybe I should tell my Boss to go with Siemens or Alcatel systems (don't give me flak for that as I know they have bugs too but I don't think they would release a crap release like this where the absolute basics don't work)

I had this and few similar when trying to recreate the SD card for the upgrade. Checked the program folder and indeed they weren't there.

Guess i should check the pirmary folder? Anyway I used the online upgrade which seemed to work.

I had that issue the first time I installed R11 SP2

You have to right-click on the downloaded zip file and select properties, there is a button for "Unblock", click it and then Apply

Run the installation as Administrator, and when it is done, run it again as a Repair. This will put the "missing" files into the directory

I think my 15 year old daughter creates better .exe files than Avaya these days.

Come on Avaya, it can't be THAT hard to make the installation files work. We all use Win7 or 10 or server 2008, 2012 or 2016 that's 5 operating systems you have to test.
With or without domain makes it 10 OS's in total. Get off your Linux is all we care about boat and get with what most people still have on their PC's.

Upgrading our dev IPO-SE (Hyper-V Virtual) to R11 FP 4 from R11 service pack 2. To get this to work, I needed to update the services one by one. Has anyone else come across this? From all of the posts above, I sense there could be a lot of kinks to work out here.

First time I have deployed the Application Server as a VM using a Hyper-V vhdx and I see the "web index" but the web manager does not load. I can see that this is stopped in the AS web manager :7071 but it refuses to start.

Voice Mail Pro works well as seems to start quickly - I recall this took some time before. I have allocatd 4 CPU, 4gb RAM, 100gb HD for a basic set up so I don't think resources are an issue.

Does anyone know what happened to the SP3

Tech Bulletin 218 said:
6.2 Future Service Packs
IP Office Release 11.0 Service Pack 3 is currently scheduled for release on the
29th March 2019.

that date has passed and we got the lousy FP with every bug known to tech nation instead of bug fixes.

Avaya does not monitor Tek_Tips they claim but i am sure some people there got nervous...

That sounds very Spaghetti Western :)

Let's hope that this release goes on a fast horse and leaves town to never be seen again.

Maybe it is time for them to do a complete rebuild like they did after the 4.0 disaster.

Start with 4.2 which was a good release as far as I remember

3.1.65 for me. Bullet proof. Mainly because there weren't any fancy features but at least the basics worked!

For anyone interested in the Web Manager issue (stuck at 'Loading') after logging in, here is the fix for all browsers:
-----
Details
IP Office Server Edition Any version to 11.0 FP 4

Problem Clarification
After upgrade to IP Office 11.0 FP 4, can no longer access Web Manager (port 7070). Browser screen shows "Loading..." but never completes.

Web Control on port 7071 works fine

Cause
This happens only if the user has accepted the Google Analytics EULA for Web Manager earlier.

Solution
You need to delete the Browser cookies for the Name / FQDN / IP Address of the IP Office Server Edition you are trying to access

For Chrome:

Delete cookies from a site
1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. At the top right, click More Settings.
3. At the bottom, click Advanced.
4. Under "Privacy and security," click Content settings.
5. Click Cookies See all cookies and site data.
6. At the top right, search for the website's name.
7. To the right of the site, click Remove .

For Firefox,

1. Go to Options
2. Privacy
3. Select “remove individual cookies”
4. Search for the name / IP address for the IP Office.
5. Click the Remove All Button.

How do I delete an individual cookie? (Internet Explorer 10/11)
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on the Tools button in the top right hand corner.
3. Select Internet Options.
4. Find 'Browsing History'
5. Click on Settings.
6. Click View Files.
The folder contains all stored Cookies, select the one for your IPO and delete them.

Thanks CASS
good to have.

I usually use a different browser if mine is not working. Opera, IE, Firefox, Chrome and Edge and usually one of them will work.

It's actually in the release notes, but since most probably don't read that part it's good pointing out :)

Hi All,

This may be a silly question but we are in the process of installing our first version 11 IPO 500V2 with VM Pro. The equipment has been ordered. 9500 & 9600 series phones. Looks like IPO version 11.0 SP4 needs to be avoided. Which 11.0 version seems the least "buggy"?

Thanks Intrigrant. Just phones, no apps. Also no 9600 series but J series instead.

Make sure you get the J100 critical patch for 11.0.2.

Without it a blind transfer from a J100 has no audio once answered. Putting the call on hold and picking it back up will bring it back. The critical patch can be gotten from Avaya by opening a ticket. From what I've seen here, 11.0.4 does not include the fix.

Also, you'll get the asian characters in voicemail at random times issue. Also a critical patch. I've not bothered fixing that one as I'm unsure if one patch also contains the fix for the other and the transfer issue is much more business affecting.

You can also download the R4.0.1 firmware for the J100 phones separately from the Avaya support site and load that manually on to the SD card. It doesn't fix either of the issues listed above but I assume it has some reason for existing.

The J100 SIP 4.0.1 firmware is required for the JEM24 button modules to be used, which is nifty button module considering that one on it's own is a 72 button module, where as two is just two-single pages of 24 buttons.

Problems continued with the Application Web Manager and Web Control:

Pages would not load or load once then not reload
Connection refused

Had tried Edge, IE, Chrome and FF even clearing the cache.

I then checked the Hyper-V settings for the VM and set memory to 4196mb and turned off dynamic memory and all is working OK including One-X portal. Not sure why this worked and I guess for bigger set ups you'd need more memory.
