I have a IP Office Rel. 10.1 (PBX1) in one location connected to a MyPBX (PBX2) in another location.
The outside lines are on PBX1. The Extensions on PBX1 one are 3XX and on PBX2 are 4XX. The internal calls work with no problem between the two PBXs. On PBX1 I added a Short code, 4XX to accomplish this,
When I dial a PBX1 extension on PBX2, it is redirected with no problem. The external line on PBX1 is accessed dialing the Short Code 9XXXXXXXX. This Short Code is on the user configuration. I tried to setup a Short Code on the System (9XXXXXXXX) but when I dial a number in the format 9XXXXXXXX on PBX2, I get a message from PBX1 saying the trunks are Busy. I get the same message if I dial the outside number from a phone without the user Short Code 9XXXXXXXX on Its configuration

Can someone help with this?

Thank You

Never have tried tieing two different systems together on IPO, but my guess would be trunk to trunk transfer or possably an issue with the ARS. I would watch it in Monitor.

You're probably not sending a valid CLI to the service provider.

are you sending the 9 along as well?

PBX2 needs to send 9 plus the number to PBX1 in order for it to work and the 9N has to point to a line or ARS that works on PBX1 users (system SC not user SC as that cannot be accessed otherwise from the PBX2)

The two PBXs are on the same building, just connected with a Cat6 cable (switch to Switch).

I'm sending the 9. the outside numbers are 9 digits starting with 9. That is why the short code is 9XXXXXXXX

this short code is working on the IPO phones.

In some other models of PBXs, CS1K for example, there is a way to prevent trunks from one trunk to get out trough another trunk. Is there any kind of restriction on the IPO?

I guess restrict network interconnect would do that, but it's off by default, so unless you've turned it on it won't be that.

not arrogant, just succinct.

Before stqrting to guess use sysmonitor and log a call on both sites to see what happens.
Use the default filter and enable shortcodes in the call filter.

I just want to be 100% sure this is not a simple fix... The telephone number you are sending to the other system is 9N not just N correct? Just N would strip the 9 if using 9XXXXXXXX.

IE
Shortcode 9XXXXXXXX
Feature Dial
Number 9N

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

@critchey

I'm sending 9XXXXXXXX to the IPO. This short code works on the User Short Codes on the phones in the IPO

Can you post the exact shortcode you are using...
Shortcode
Feature
Number

Post the entire shortcode you are using.

Short code: 9XXXXXXXX
Telephone Number: .
Feature: Dial
Line Group ID: 0

It is the dialling code on PBX2 than needs to be checked
as we don't know MyPBX a system monitor trace to see what is being received & how it is being processed is essential.

The current suspicion is that PBX2 is stripping the leading 9 but without a trace fro the IPO that could be a red herring

Here is the Sysmonitor. Is not using the 9XXXXXXXX, but another shortcode that does exactly the same 2XXXXXXXX

Your MyPBX is calling 222222222 and this probably doesn't match anything in IP Office ICR since it answers Not Found.

"Trying is the first step to failure..." - Homer

Yes it matchs
2XXXXXXXX is for land lines
9XXXXXXXX is for Cell phones

And they are working from the phones in the IPO

It will not match a User Shortcode when it's coming from another PBX.

You need to setup Incoming Call Route for that number and have a System Shortcode it can match.
