I have an avaya ip office 500 rls 8.1 basic in pbx mode. When a call comes in and is answered at extn 10 , then transferred to an extn with voicemail,the voicemail picks up, but line at extn 10 stays busy. You have to physically hang up the line button . Once 2 calls get hung up , the third transferred call just rings continually. I am guessing it is because the 2 vm ports are busy. Is there a setting somewhere in configuration that will make the line release? I have looked at system config and trunk lines, but I haven't found anything .
The system is in pbx mode. They have 4 loop start lines. If a call is answered and you hang up without transferring to voicemail, the line disconnects within 5 seconds.
