I need to know what is needed to hook up 2 remote phones to a IP Office 500 it has embedded and is in standard mode with 10 1416's. I would appreciate any help. The IT guy said he could build the vpn's.

Well...if they are just going to be sitting on a VPN, then all you would need is an IP endpoint license and they would act like any other IP phone.

If you plan on making your IP phones into *VPN* phones...thats another can of worms.

ACE: Implement IP Office

So are you saying that the customer would only need to purchase 2 ip phones and the ip end point license. Just to be clear all they have now is ip office 500 v2 with 2 combo cards and embedded voice mail they are using 8 pots lines.

For IP phones you need VCM channels which are on the combocards (10 eachs)
You need IP endpoint licenses per phone and you need IP phones.

BAZINGA!
