Hi,
For embedded voicemail can i use any compact flash card (512MB) or does it need something special to work?

you need an official VM card from Avaya as it contains the licence file on it!

You cannot use it.
You need a special CF card for that only Avaya can sell (or an Avaya business partner)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Ok, would i still be able to use VM lite?

I have a 406 V2 with R5 Software to play with.

Im going to be mucking about with it and may take it down to v4 for nothing more than training purposes.

Its a bit of lab kit really, not a customer installed device.

So you work for a business partner?
If yes then you can get a demo system from Avaya for a very nice price!
You get all licenses and some phones with it.

No unfortunately, im funding my own learning, i managed to get a 406v2 and a couple of phones for a good price.
