Point4: Point5: Point6:

We have calls routed to this hunt-group from a vector. During business hours the phone calls go to the hunt group and during off business hours it goes to a voicemail at x2907. Our hunt group extension is x2069.

How should I setup my coverage points so that when all members of the hunt group are busy or on DND the phone calls go to the voicemail?

Should the voicemail be setup on x2069, not x2907?

Thanks!

add a messaging step: messaging skill 22 for extension 2907
point it the for an out of hours and for available agents equal to or less than zero

Where would I add the messaging skill step for x2907?

As this is not an ACD skill it's not possible to do a check on the "availability" of the hunt group members

Maybe if all extensions are on send the call would follow the hunt group cover path (10)

where does this coverpath send the call?

the coverage path is sending the calls to h22, which is the hunt group for our voicemail system. Hunt group 22 is x7000, which is a group setup with the 12 audix extensions we have.

The problem I see is how does the hunt group know to go to x2907, which is our voicemail for that group? No where do we specify that hunt group 23, which is x2069 should use x2907 for voicemail in the hunt group or coverage path.

Thanks

I think this should work:

create a new VDN and point it to a vector that has 1 command: messaging skill 22 for extension 2907

Then add a new coverage path where the first point of coverage is the new VDN. Assign this coverage path to your hunt group instead of the CP 10.

I'm not using ACD since none of the users login to the group, so I cannot use the skills.

I have however created a vdn that points to an empty vector. Could I just setup the vector to say:

route-to number 2907 with cover y unconditionally
stop

I still want to use the coverage path 10 and I put in the new vdn as the first and only point.

Would that work or any other suggestions?

That should work as long as you have 2907 set up in your PBX as an x-ported station with cov path 10.

But make sure you test it first... not sure if this falls into the category of "double-coverage" since it's routing back to a vdn before hitting 2907.

I setup the new VDN to go to the new vector. If i dial the new VDN directly it goes to the voicemail.

If i setup the coverage path to go to the new vdn, it just kills the phone call.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I ended up calling AVAYA and got them to set it up. We did not have certain features on our phone system setup, so we had to go through audix to enable the auto attend routing feature.

Thanks to all for you help
