i am changing carriers. I have a PRI. at&t wants to know how many received digits my IPO is set for. i have DID so I would assume 4 digits but how can I check in the programming?

Nope

You need to run a monitor trace - and trace an incoming call (ISDN trace). This will show you

The IPO is pretty insensitive to DNIS length - althoug it is good to get it right

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

we build all of our IPO's with 10 digit call routes that way the provider can send us 2 to 10 digits and it should still work.

You can look at Incoming Call Route to see how many digits are entered into the Incoming Number field.

It is easier to simply have 10 sent to IPO. Much better record keeping for incoming DIDs.

Thanks for the responses. Is there an easy TUI "cheat Sheet" available to check the incoming call route info?

system programming can only be checked fro the manager application
I would suggest you try the following to answer you question

1) Speak to your current line provider & ask them

2) tell your new provider it doesn't matter & you will accept whatever they provide, as already stated the IPO routes calls on closest match & will quite happily work even if programmed with 10 digits & only presented with 6 (or Vice Versa)

3) Ask your System maintainer, they probably haven't got a record of how many digits because they don't need it (see 2) but should be able to find out from monitoring the system.

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

If you have system status just go to active calls and make a call in from say your mobile, highlight your call and select call details button at the bottom of the screen. In there on of the lines at the top should say did digits (or something along those lines) and it will show you the digits the IPO received.

But as stated before the IPO doesn't really worry too much about ddi digits. Failing that just get your new provider to tell you how many digits they are going to send you and change the system if required.
