I have IP Office manager 9.0.4. Recently one phone died, so I bought a new one and thought I could plug it into the network and it should work. I have set the vlan id on the new phone after pressing * and 27238. This is usually the only thing it needs I think. But it keeps staying at DHCP when I boot up the phone. Is there anything else I need to do? thanks!

Maybe go to an existing phone, and check the ADDR settings, duplicate them on the new phone (but of course, not the phone IP or you will cause a conflict)

thanks Tommy, the only thing I see is the vlan id, which I set on the new phone and is still stuck at DHCP.

If the phone boots up it display the message "DHCP press * to configure"
Press * when you see the message, it will ask for a password which by default is CRAFT
Then it shoud show
"Phone IP Address : 0.0.0.0" enter a free IP address plus #
"IP Mask : 0.0.0.0" enter the LAN IP Mask e.g. 255.255.255.0 plus #
"Gateway : 0.0.0.0" enter the IP Office IP address in the voice VLAN plus #
"MCIP Address : 0.0.0.0" enter the IP Office IP address in the voice VLAN plus #
"Fileserver : 0.0.0.0" enter the IP Office IP address in the voice VLAN plus #
"VLAN ID: 0" enter the VLAN ID of the voice VLAN
"L2Q...: Auto" just press# and # again to save settings.
Then the phone reboots and register to IP Office and at the end of the boot sequence it will ask for a phone number and a password.
It depends on settings in IP Office if you need to enter a password or not.
Done.

thanks intrigrant. I forgot to mention the system uses DHCP
