Hi,

I have just launched a new site and would like as many people as possible to review it for me.

I asked for a review before and got some negative feedback so I have changed the whole layout. You wouldn`t beleive it was the same site!!

Please could you tell me:-

Browser used.
Connection.
Approximate page loading speed.
Any problems encountered.(Display or otherwise)
Any other comments you may have(Good or bad).

If Wullie is willing to afford a better web host, we'd have cut down the number of posts on this subject by at least half.

Gerrygerry, may be you should send a report of your result to any web host rating site to let other consider before signing up the service though it's free from what Wullie said.

Wullie, I understand you made this site for your fiance? Would a subdomain suit your needs? Are you decided on using your domain name? I dont currently have my server up but I've been thinking about starting it up again. *If* I do I'd be glad to host your site for free. There are more than likely others in this forum that would host you for free too.

I would say to you to monitor the site with internetseer but I seem to get loads of email and people still can`t get the site. I will let you know when internetseer could access the site.

I have already been offered by a few people to host the site for free but, at present there would be too much work involved in any changeover if I didn`t have the domain name hosted. There are a few sites linking to certain items on the site and I don`t have regular contact with them so that would take time. Thanks anyway for the offer, much appreciated.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

As I said before, I didn`t mean to sound arrogant but the site is very clear who it is aimed at. The first 4 lines of text on the home page clearly state who the site is aimed at. If you have not been involved in this subject obviously the content would not appeal to you. Any people who visit the site and don`t want to read the content, can leave, thats their choice.

If the subject does not appeal to someone, sorry, but the person obviously does not belong in the site then.I`ve made it as clear as I can from the start who it is aimed at.

As I`ve previously said, I asked for a site review, NOT a content review.

On the subject of paying for a host, I have already mentioned this in previous posts. I cannot put any money into this site at present as it is simply not there to spend. I am off work sick at present and I have a small baby so all available money is devoted to her. ;-) As said previously, I will be moving within the next few months.

Just looking at the stats I have realised just how bad the host really is!!

The problem with this is, I seem to be able to connect without a problem at times that internetseer can`t.

Just one of those mysteries that will never be solved!! LOL

I can't see your site on any of the links on this thread (Location - Coventry, UK; Time - 15:06 GMT) but I have seen it before and I think the guy who said he wasn't interested has obviously never known someone who would be interested. I do and I know that it would be a great help to the people it's aimed at.
Anyway I know this thread is getting long but I just wanted to let you know who can (or rather can't) see it this side of the Atlantic (I assume everyone bar you and me is american) and also that guy made my blood boil and I had to get it off my chest. >:-<

I have had more than enough comments to work on and we all know my host is terrible so lets call it a day.
