Hi,

I have just launched a new site and would like as many people as possible to review it for me.

I asked for a review before and got some negative feedback so I have changed the whole layout. You wouldn`t beleive it was the same site!!

Please could you tell me:-

Browser used.
Connection.
Approximate page loading speed.
Any problems encountered.(Display or otherwise)
Any other comments you may have(Good or bad).

To be honest.... I have not got a clue why you can`t see it.

To say the host is terrible is an understatement!!!!

I am now having severe problems with FTP!!

Going to have to change hosts soon but for now I will have to put up with it.

Did you ever check out HostRocket? I'm telling you its the way to go!

Also, just so you know, portland is infamous for FTP problems. :-( They have some sort of a limit that only allows about 3 people to ftp at once. -gerrygerry

LOL!!!

They have got a 75 user limit.. Might as well be 3 though!!

I had loads of problems connecting before but now the problem is a lot more severe.

I get connected now no problem but as off today when I try to upload files the file appears on the server but with some of the files only a small portion is uploaded... Some other appear on the server but there is no data in the file.

Sometimes when I upload one file it works but it deletes the data from another.

I have tried everything I can think of but nothing works.

Any suggestions appreciated

As for the new host.. Thats going to have to be sonner rather than later...

Hi,

I have just phoned support again and this time they are saying that "WE DON`T KNOW WHY THEY CAN`T CONNECT"?? Thats what you`ve got to love about them, they give you loads of support. LOL

I`ve just fixed my FTP problem, it was a dodgy htaccess file I uploaded with a script yesterday.

I`ve also changed the graphics but they are still jpgs as I couldn`t get the top banner to convert to a gif without it looking terrible. The file sizes are a little larger but the quality is a lot better.

You should have got the custom error page though?? Hopefully..

About the right click menu - I have had various comments about that. Some says it looks good, others don`t like it.
I guess it`s down to personal preference though. Your comment has been noted..

Hi mate,

I was praying that this was the end to the server problems but as I started writing this thread I have just received an email for internetseer saying that the site is on error.
LOL I can`t win!!

Maybe the host has got their act together as when I spoke to them today they said they would try all possible options to fix the errors.

The site seems to be up in one part of the world one day, then another the next..

I asked for a site review not content.

I built the site for my fiance, and the way I see it, if that site helps 1 person then it is worthwhile.

You might think I am being arrogant but I cannot beleive what you have just posted!!
