Hi,

I have just launched a new site and would like as many people as possible to review it for me.

I asked for a review before and got some negative feedback so I have changed the whole layout. You wouldn`t beleive it was the same site!!

Please could you tell me:-

Browser used.
Connection.
Approximate page loading speed.
Any problems encountered.(Display or otherwise)
Any other comments you may have(Good or bad).

Hi Wulie,

Now it works!

1) At the bottom of your homepage you have a link to the site Humanclick.com and one to beseen.com. Both links show these sites in you parent browser. At that moment your visitors loose focus with your site and the can only go back by clicking the back-button of your browser.
I suggest you open these links in a child browser, so that your users have to oppertunity to switch easily to your site back again even if they are in low nested levels from those both sites.

So change in the Humunclick-link target="_top" to target=_blank" and add also target=_blank" to the beseen-link.
The human link are also on other pages. Change also the target there.

2)I see a litlle difference in white background color of your site and the background of the pictures (only people who are perfectionist like me have comment on this ) If you can make gif files instead of jpg (like 15.jpg) you can make the background transparent. In that case you don't have the differences in color, like you have now.

3) on the "Waht is abuse"-page your 4 headers look like links because they have onother color and are underlined. I sugest to leave the underline.

No comments more! You really improved your site since I saw it the last time !!! Great!

nice site, I also saw it before and it looks so much better now . I'd have to agree with the previous poster about the headings on the 'what is abuse' page. The only other slight things are the colour of the copyright link at the bottom (light green on white is a bit hard to read), the page 'jumps' as it loads (I think 'cos of no height + width attributes on the <img> tags) and the 'human click' logo looks squashed, but that could be how it's supposed to look, I don't know. Other than that I think it's a really good site, for a really worthy cause. Keep up the good work.

could i suggest you add topmargin=0 to your body tags as i'm getting a white space across the top of the pages. i notice you have included marginheight=0, but this attribute is being ignored by ie5.5.

other than that it's a very nice site.

For some strange reason some people cannot connect to the site, I am going to investigate this further.

1)I am going to make these links open in a child window. I misunderstood the last time you said this because I thought you meant the Humanclick image link as this already opens in a child window. I forgot about the other link below it. :~/

2)I have checked the images and I can see no colour difference.(YES Colour.I`m Scottish!!)
(You really must be a perfectionist!) I have just noticed that the poems logo is the wrong image, somehow the old image must have got mixed up with the new one, I am going to change that.

3)The headers on the What Is Abuse page should have been changed. They are eventually going to link to pages that go into more detail about the subject. Thanks for noticing that.

3)As for the page jumping, as far as I am aware, all images have height/width attributes. I will check this throughout the site.

4)The humanclick logo is meant to be like that. I have not changed the code they supplied.

Hi Loganswell,

As far as I am aware, people from the UK are not experiencing any problems. I`m Scottish and the host is English.

I have been working on the site today, that might be why you couldn`t access it.

I had a problem when I tried to make the changes suggested by the other users on this forum. When I was using FTP, I deleted the home page ready to upload the updated one, only for the FTP to disconnect me and then not allow me access again for a few hours. Therefore, my site was without a home page during this time.

I can only suggest to try again and hopefully that was the problem this time.

I have contacted my host regarding this problem and am patiently waiting on a reply.

I`ve not go a clue why you can`t connect then mate..

I am waiting on a reply from the support but when I looked at the forum they have it seems they are not very fond of replying to support related questions, there`s loads of people complaining about it.

I`m going to try phoning them today(Friday)
Let`s just hope that they are better at answering phones.

The only reason I chose that host is because they are free..
No annoying pop-ups or banners.
They were recommended by a friend on this forum.

I think the problems have come to an end..Finally!!

I have just received a message from interseer stating

YOU WEBSITE IS OFF ERROR

Total Time on error: 1 week, 5 hours, 28 minutes, 44 seconds

Hopefully this is the end of all connection problems!!

Hi mate,

The menu is in Javascript.
If you want the code just use View > Source from your browser menu.
Everything is labelled as to what it means, there is the two parts to the code, head and body.

Only thing is though, it only works in IE5 and up?? I think. Doesn`t work in netscape anyway..
