Can someone tell me the meaning of the word Tofilin which I have been told is Hebrew in origin. I don't believe it is Yiddish, but I could be dead wrong on that.

I just thought there may be someone with Hebrew language skills poking around in these pages.

I did a Google on Tofilin and it returned a couple of websites for a Temp agency. I added an extra L for tofillin and it return a list of PDFs that combined "to fill in" I also got a "Did you mean: Tefillin" and it just may be what you are looking for.

Mike, You did it, thanks!

Here's a link that explains Tefillin if anyone is interested.

BTW, the temp agency is the reason I am asking. I know the owner from years back and I'm going to be seeing him today... I didn't want to ask him again. Now I have a new question: Why did you spell it this way?
